Deyla Huss Photography – Portland, OR

Meet Deyla Huss; a right-eyed Nikon shooter (yay!) who focuses on weddings and lifestyle photography.

Describe the moment you decided it was time to pursue this as a career?

I knew when I shot my first wedding for my brother-in-law and his wife in April 2007! I craved what I could find through my lens and decided to do this more and more! I booked 13 weddings my first year without a website and mostly by word of mouth and feel so blessed to have this opportunity to pursue something I truly and utterly enjoy!

What is one thing you’ve learned so far that has proven most valuable?

WOW thats a tough one! I have learned so many valuable things related to my business, I guess a few of them would be to find your own style in your photography, BE yourself, showing your client that you are not just doing this for the money, you actually enjoy doing this and Love it! You are a real person!
